Modern digital experiences are a network of integrations. Bring your CRM, data, documents under one roof

Writing a Client Portal brief

Previously, we explored our Investor Value Chain model, and how we use it to redesign the customer experience. We also discussed how building trust across all touchpoints is a key element of your brand promise, and essential for customer acquisition and retention.

The final piece of our solution is the decoupling of data from experience. There are plenty of CRM, data and document providers and they deliver excellent service. The job of the experience platform is to integrate and orchestrate all this data, without duplicating functionality and introducing unnecessary costs.

Customer Relationship Management

Pioneers of Software-as-a-Service model, CRMs have evolved from salesforce automation to full business applications, spanning service, finance and operations. We typically integrate generic systems like SalesForce, Dynamics 365 as well as specialists like FolioMetrics and Iress XPlan to draw customer and product information on your website or portal.

Market data

Investment management is a data-driven domain. From fund and portfolio performance data, breakdowns and asset allocation and holdings or valuations, we use data for charts and visualisations. To accelerate development, we have a broad API support including connectors for FactSet, CleverSoft, Anevis and others.

Document libraries

Controversially, we dislike PDFs: they are not responsive, open up in awkward readers applications and disrupt the journey. However, we understand that from factsheets and KIIDs to quarterly Valuations, documents need to be delivered on this legacy format, so we connect to document repositories or generate PDFs on-the-fly.

Financial systems

CRMs, data and documents may be the most typical integrations, however a modern application needs to be extensible to support even the most unusual requirements. With an open architecture and broad APIs, you can connect to portfolio management or transaction systems, e-banking and business intelligence to name but a few.

Next steps

Experience platforms work best when they focus on the investor and bring data in. Similarly, data and CRM providers are great at what they do, but delivering the experience is a specialist skill.

Our platform offers the widest possible API coverage and ready-made connectors make development faster. If you need to deliver a front-end for one or more systems, do get in touch for an exploratory demo.
